LACKEY, Ronald N - (Retired Mechanical Supervisor C.P.R. after 34 years of service). Peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital surrounded by his loving family, following a short illness, on Saturday, March 12, 2011 Ronald N. Lackey at the age of 64 years. He was the beloved husband of Lorna Lutz of Kingston. Ronald was the cherished father to Donald Lackey of Brampton. He is survived by his twin brother Donald (Sharon) Lackey of Kingston, the late George Lackey and his sisters Barbara (the late David) Kaleta, Donna Mae (Dennis) Purvis of Spruce Grove, Alberta and Norma (Leonard) Wynn of Smiths Falls. He will be sadly missed by his niece Stephanie (Jean Marc) Noel of Kingston, nephew Ronald Lackey of London and numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Ron was born and raised in Smiths Falls, a town he always called home. Throughout his career with the C. P. R. he moved to various posts, spending many of his working years at the yard office in Sudbury. Following retirement he lived in Brampton, and a few years ago moved to Kingston and shared accommodation with his twin brother Don and Sharon. He enjoyed 13 years of retirement and spent many of those years travelling with his wife Lorna and spending time with his family. After a wonderful life lived, he returns back to rest in peace in Smiths Falls. Family and Friends may pay their respects at the BLAIR & SON FUNERAL HOME, Smiths Falls, on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held in the Blair & Son Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery.
