LAFONTAINE, Claude Albert - In loving memory of Claude Albert Lafontaine, 77 years. February 6, 1935 - September 14, 2012. Beloved husband of Rollande Lafontaine (née Lamothe) of Wahnapitae. Loving father of Lorraine Villeneuve (husband Gaston) of Wahnapitae, Ronald (wife Susan) of Coniston, Léo (wife Lynn) of Wahnapitae, Joanne Dupuis (husband Mike) of Barrie. Loving grandfather to Cindy, Joey, Chrissy, Nathan, Jessica, Guy, Darcy, Lina, Justin and great grandchildren Taylor and Dylan. Beloved son of the late Ernest and Georgina (née Tremblay) Lafontaine both predeceased. Loving brother to Roland (wife Rose) both predeceased, Léo predeceased (wife Yvette of Gatineau), Rhéal predeceased (wife Mitch of Windsor), Armand (wife Rita) both predeceased, Daniel (wife Gertie) both predeceased, Marcel Lafontaine (wife Cecile) of Gatineau, sister Gabrielle Bélisle (husband Emile) both predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Claude worked at INCO for 32 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. He was one of the first volunteer firefighters of Nickel Centre. Joke telling was his passion because he loved to make people laugh. He died peacefully at Extendicare York. Memorial Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel, JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury, Sunday, September 16th, 2012 at 1pm. (Friends may gather in the chapel after 12:30pm Sunday).
