LALONDE, Edward James Joseph - In Loving Memory of Edward James Joseph Lalonde, 81 years, Peacefully Monday, August 13th, 2012 at Health Sciences North. Beloved husband of Rose (Rivard) Lalonde. Loving father of Ken and Nicole (husband Don Lavallee). Dear father in law to Jennifer. Cherished Pepere of Kristopher, Amber-Rose, Wendy, Jason (Rhea), Kristen (Jonathan), Brandon, Morgan, Nolan and 4 great grandchildren. Dear son of Wilfrid and Lilianne (Gravelle) Lalonde predeceased. Dear brother of Joseph predeceased (wife Lilianne), Omer (wife Gwen) both predeceased, Lilianne Bertrand (husband Edward “Buddy“ predeceased), Walter (wife Claire) and Jeanne Hoffman (husband Manfred predeceased). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and his canine buddy Casey. Eddy was born in Hanmer and grew up in Sudbury. He married Rose (Rivard) in 1959 at Holy Redeemer Church. He had worked at INCO for 33 years, retiring in 1992. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved all sports and he was a faithful fan of the Montreal Canadiens. He enjoyed all music and most recently country and western songs. Eddy was devoted to his loving family. He took great pride and interest in their activities and accomplishments, especially his precious grandchildren. The light of his life will be cherished by all who knew and loved him. Memorial Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury, Thursday, August 16th, 2012 at 11:30am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lung Association or the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated. (Friends may gather after 10am Thursday).
