February 28, 2013 67

LALONDE, Suzanne “Sue“ (née Roy) - In loving memory of Suzanne “Sue“ Lalonde (née Roy) of Sudbury, Ontario passed away on Tuesday, February 26th, 2013 after a short courageous battle with A.L.S. Born on December 11th, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Yvonne Roy Horne, Lorenzo Roy and Norman Horne. Sue was the beloved wife and companion of 48 years of Maurice (Moe) Lalonde of Sudbury. She leaves behind her sons whom she was very proud of, Maurice Lalonde (Falconbridge), Gilles Lalonde (Ottawa) and she is predeceased by her youngest son Jacques (Chico). Sue's pride and joy and for whom she'd do anything for, were her three grandchildren, A.J. Lalonde, Jasmine Lalonde and Stéphane Lalonde. They will miss her greatly! Sue is survived by her siblings Rolande (late Don Dupont) of Pembroke, Lorraine Roy of Barrie, Gérald (Fernande) Roy of Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Qué and Aline (Bernard) Lapointe of Noëlville. She also leaves behind her brother in laws Guy Lalonde (Doreen) and Georges Lalonde (Valerie) as well as sister- in-laws Jeannine Briggs (Bob predeceased), Henriette St-Louis (Ray predeceased), Viviane Olsen (Ray) and Patricia Ackerland (Allen). She will be missed by all who knew her. She was a devoted wife and mother. She lit up a room with “la joie de vivre“ whether as a volunteer clown or dressing up in her Marilyn Monroe dress. Her little “Bella“ will miss her outings as a therapy dog with her, bringing joy and love to many nursing homes, residences and the hospital. Her death will be mourned by many nieces, nephews and good friends from near and far. At this time, the family would like to extend our most heartfelt gratitude to the many people who tended to Sue's care in the past year. Funeral service in the R.J.
