LANKINEN, Eric - In Loving Memory of Eric Lankinen, 87 years, Saturday, January 5th, 2013 at Health Sciences North. Beloved husband of Aira (Holla) Lankinen. Loving father of Kaarina (Brian Webber), Saara (Rob Alexander), Christine (Amerio Sovran) and Eric. Cherished Pappa of Angela, Jessica (Sean), Jamie (Tara), Jennifer, Jeffrey, Jordan, Kayley, Wesley and great grandchildren Benjamin and Morgan. Dear son of David and Aino Lankinen both predeceased. Dear friend of Jack Laisi and Wes Edwards (predeceased). Born in Finland, Eric married Aira 58 years ago in Sudbury. He operated a sawmill at Nepawassi Lake. Later Eric worked at Carringtons Lumber for 35 years. He enjoyed the camp at Lake Penage. He loved the outdoors, hunting, trout fishing, a hot sauna, the loons call and a beautiful sunset. The focus of his life was always his family, for whom he leaves many cherished memories. A private family memorial service will be held at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME. Cremation.
