LAURIN, Emily (née Vaillancourt) - The family announces with sorrow, her death in Sudbury on September 30, 2012 at the age of 94 years. Daughter of the late Edouard and of the late Annie (née Prieur) Vaillancourt. Wife of the late Leo Laurin. Beloved mother of Reginald (Marion Persall) of Wyndham Centre, Regina Bédard (late Gerard) of Coniston, Marcel (Janet) of Woodstock, Angèle “Angie“ Gagnon (Maurice) of Sudbury, Paulette French (late Lennox) of Sault Ste Marie, Léo-Paul (Debbie) of Warren, Roland (Michelle) of Brantford, Rolande Gervais (Germain) of St- Charles, Suzanne Beaulieu (René) of Coniston, Elizabeth Laurin of Sudbury and Denise Laurin (Lloyd Gobeil) of Qualicum Beach, BC. Dear sister of Albert Vaillancourt (Lois) of Timmins, Rita Bedard-Lazowick (late Louis) (Larry) of Alban and Marie- Jeanne Young (late Ron) of St Thomas. Predeceased by her siblings Josephus, Lucienne, Hormidas, Yvonne, Hervé, Alfred, Eugene and Adrien. Sadly missed by a total of 88 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by Mary-Anne Laurin, Patricia Slatts, Marilyn Laurin, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd., Sudbury, Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 5, 2012 at (time to be confirmed) at St-Marc's Church, Markstay. In lieu of flowers, donations to Camp Quality, Northern Ontario or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
