LAURIN, Rolande (née Racette) - In loving memory of Rolande Laurin who passed away at St.Gabriel's Villa on Sunday, August 19th 2012 at the age of 88 years. Wife of the late Edouard Laurin. Daughter of the late Baptiste and Corinne (Brunet) Racette. Dear mother of Germaine (Junior Montesi), Therese (Rheal Violette), Liliane (Charles Tessier), Suzanne (Joe Gratton) and Colette (Dean Gibbons). Cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren (Christien predeceased in 2007) and 11 great-grandchildren. Dear sister Aurele (Rita) and Henri (Sandy predeceased), Therese (Normand Bobbie) both predeceased and Ernest (predeceased). Rolande enjoyed spending her summers at their summer camp on Ministic Lake with her family and friends. She bowled for many years in a league in Azilda and she enjoyed making different crafts. Thanking the staff at St.Gabriel's Villa for the compassionate care during her last few months. Thank you also to the Pastoral staff and volunteers of the Palliative Care for their devotion. The family will receive friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691 R.R. 15, Chelmsford on Thursday, August 23rd 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 24th 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in St-Agnes Church, Azilda. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
