LAVOIE, Adelard - In loving memory of Adelard Pierre Lavoie of Chelmsford at the age of 90 years on Sunday, February 26, 2012. Son of the late John and the late Bernadette (nee Michaud). Beloved husband of 63 years of Solange (nee Dequanne) of Chelmsford. Loving father of Bernadette Lajoie (Claude) of Chelmsford, Patricia Partington (Craig) of Val Therese, Donald (Julie) of Chelmsford, Linda Gauthier (Gilbert) of Markham and Lorraine Lajoie (Gabriel) of Saskatoon. Predeceased by his son Raymond. Dear brother of Pauline Meehan (Dick) and Jeannine Dequanne (late Aurel) of Chelmsford. Predeceased by his sister Bernadette Leroux and his brothers Rene (Hazel) and Norman. Cherished grandfather of Rosanne Lajoie (Abdou) of Montreal, Natalie Charbonneau (Alain), Colette Lajoie of Chelmsford, Guy Lajoie (Nadine) of Hay River, Micheline Lavoie of North Bay, Catherine Lavoie of Chelmsford, Julie Gauthier of Wales, Eric Gauthier (Andreeanne) of Aurora, Danielle Partington (Shawn) of Labrador City, Sylvie Partington and Nicole Partington of Val Therese, Patrick Lajoie (Jamie) of Saskatoon, Eric Lajoie (Marina) of Wawa and Melissa Cooper (Venancio Salas) of Manitoulin Island. Loving great- grandfather to Mahdi and Younes of Montreal, Anna, Alex, Roch, Michel and Elita of Chelmsford, Xavier and Tomassa of Manitoulin Island and Joshua of Wawa. Adelard, born in Hull and raised in Biscotasing, was a miner by trade but an avid outdoorsman at heart. He was a long time member of the Ontario Trappers Association and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Adelard always enjoyed a good family get-together. He will be greatly missed. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691, R R 15, CHELMSFORD, Wednesday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Funeral mass (time and date to be confirmed) at St. Joseph Church, Chelmsford.
