LAWRYNIUK, Helena - Passed away unexpectedly at the St. Catharine's General Hospital on March 6, 2012 at the age of 65. Predeceased by her husband Alex (1990). Beloved mother of Nina (Roger), Greg (Christy) and Peter. Dear grandmother of Sofia and Alex whom she dearly adored. Beloved daughter of Eugene & Mary Tarasiuk and sister of Natalie, Nina, Lily and Mary. Helena was a recently retired kindergarten teacher at Silver Heights Public School which she loved and with retirement she enjoyed volunteering with the Opportunity Centre her needlepoint and lots of travel to Florida. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Brain Injury Association of Waterloo Wellington would be appreciated. Visiting will be held at the SCHREITER-SANDROCK FUNERAL HOME, 51 Benton St. on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Panahyda at 7 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, 855 Barton St. E., Hamilton on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Interment at St. Volodymyr Cemetery, Oakville at 5:00 p.m. On-line condolences may be made by visiting www.schreitersandrockfuneralhome.com
