With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we bid farewell to a true legend, Edward Lebid, affectionately known as the Silver Fox. Edward passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024, at the Maison McCulloch Hospice at the age of 79, after bravely battling lung cancer for two years. He departed surrounded by the love and support of his devoted son, Brian, his daughter, Tina, and his granddaughter, Ashley. Their unwavering presence illuminated his path and brought comfort during his darkest hours.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Madeleine Lebid; his parents John and Stella Lebid; his siblings Bill and Walter Ziminski, and Stella Symoczko. He is survived by his children, Brian and Tina Lebid; his granddaughter Ashley Lebid; and by his siblings Raymond Ziminski and Anne Surface.
He will be sadly missed by his canine grand puppies, Ellie and Jasper as well as by all his nieces and nephews.
Edward's life was a symphony of joy, laughter, and music. As the Silver Fox, he exuded charm and charisma, his silver locks framing a spirit that was as vibrant as the tunes he strummed on his guitar. Whether he was hosting lively gatherings at home alongside his son Brian, gliding across the dance floor at the Nash to the beat of live music, or simply relishing the company of friends and family, Edward knew how to savor every moment of life.
In honoring Eddy's wishes, there will be no somber service to mark his passing. Instead, we will gather to celebrate Ed's extraordinary life at a later date, sharing stories, laughter, and perhaps a few tunes in his honor.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Maison McCulloch Hospice, where
Edward spent his final days surrounded by compassionate care and unwavering love.
“Our Dad may have bid farewell to this world, but his spirit will forever dance in our hearts, a reminder that even in the darkest of nights, the Silver Fox’s light will continue to shine bright”
