LEE, Eui Hyun - It is with profound sorrow and deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Eui Hyun Lee our beautiful, lovely angel, at home with her family by her side on Thursday, July 19th at 12:20 p.m. after battling breast cancer for 8 ½ years. She was born in South Korea, on March 28th 1958. Lee, as all her customers called her, was one of the best chef in the world. With her husband Norm Houle they opened café-I-Free on Cedar Street in 1999, then café Korea in 2001. She was a pioneer and opened the first restaurant North of Toronto to introduce Korean, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Indian, and even bubble tea to Sudbury. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband Norm Houle, daughters Jieun Chung, Eun Young Chung and her fiancé Dennis Park, son Norm Houle Jr. and wife Une Kyoung and granddaughter Breanna from Niagara and Barrie, son Rory Houle and partner Nicolle from Bracebridge, brother Chan Woo Lee, wife Hye Kyung Park and niece Chae Hyun Lee from Seoul, Korea. She was the daughter of Chong-Min Lee and Soo Young Kim and another brother Jin-Woo Lee, all predeceased. She will sadly be missed by all. Rene and Agnes Houle (predeceased), Bernie Yates sister in law from Edmonton, Harvey and Mary Houle from Muskoka, Eddy (predeceased) and Ann Houle from Toronto, Bob and Irene Houle from Beaverton, Gerry Houle from Sudbury, Dorothy Lively from Edmonton, Armand (predeceased) and Terry Houle from Sudbury, Henry and Yvette Houle from Sudbury, Joe and Jackie Kohan from Sudbury, Roland and Chris Houle from Kelowna, B.C., Clarence and Rolanda LeFave from Oro, Rick and Gail Houle from Oshawa and 45 nieces and nephews too many to mention and all our great valued customers over the years. There will be no visitation. She will be cremated at Parklawn Crematorium and the service will be held at Valley View Community Church, 2891 Martin Rd, Blezard Valley on Saturday July 28th, 2012 at 1 p.m. We would like to thank all the staffs at the North Eastern Cancer Centre and a special thanks to Dr. Linda Tenhunen and staff for the understanding and compassion that they showed Lee.
