LEPPANEN, Leo - 1929 - 2012 - Leo passed peacefully in Toronto after a brief battle with cancer on Tuesday, August 7, 2012, aged 83. Greatly missed by his children, Myra (Curtis), Freida (Bob), Martin (Susan) and Lisa (his son Eric pre- deceased). Loving grandfather of Shawn, Wesley, Kyla and Joshua. Dearly remembered by his sister Helen (brother Martin and sister Lily pre-deceased). Leo was a long standing member of the IBEW. He loved life with family and friends, and spending time outdoors enjoying nature. He had many interests, was an avid reader, and enjoyed music and dancing with his companion Kit. Special thank you to Dr. Minden and staff at Princess Margaret Hospital. A memorial service will be held at PINE HILLS CEMETERY & VISITATION CENTRE, (416) 267-8229, Toronto on August 25th at 2 p.m. A private interment will occur in Sudbury at a later date. The family would appreciate donations to Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
