MacDONALD, Grace Leona (nee Wylie) - In Loving Memory of Grace Leona MacDonald (nee Wylie), 93 years, Who passed away at the Extendicare Falconbridge Tuesday October 2nd 2012. Beloved mother to Susan (husband Richard Mei) of Sudbury. Sadly missed by her granddaughters Heather Mei and Jennifer Mei both of Sudbury. Beloved wife of W. Austin MacDonald, predeceased (December 1976). Predeceased by her parents Russell and Matilda (MacDougall) Wylie, her brothers and sisters Vera, Doris, Arnold, Mac, and Jack. Dear sister to Donald Wylie of Sudbury. Special aunt to several nieces and nephews. Grace and Austin owned and operated W.A. MacDonald Grocery store in Copper Cliff till 1955, moving to Sudbury. Mom worked for several years at the Memorial Hospital where she retired in 1983. She continued to work as the Medical Secretary for the doctors, retiring in the 1990's. She enjoyed playing cards, Bridge and Bingo. Grace was a member of St. Peter's United Church. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Staff of Extendicare Falconbridge for the wonderful care and compassion they provided mom and special care by Dr. Roch. At Grace's request there will be no visitation or service. A graveside committal at the Park Lawn Cemetery will be held Tuesday October 9th 2012 at 1 p.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to Breast Cancer or to the Arthritis Society would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME.
