MacGREGOR, Mark Louis (Myshko) - Entertainer - Educator December 20, 1957 - July 22, 2010 It is with great sadness that the family of Mark announces his passing on Thursday, July 22, at the Sudbury Regional Hospital after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Beloved husband of Talma (Pfeiffer) and loving father of Ronnie. Son of Inez MacGregor and the late Ronald MacGregor of Schumacher Ontario. Dear brother of Darrell (Bernadette) of Timmins and Carla (Colin Williamson) of Ottawa. Son-in-law of the late Pilar Quiroz and Hugo Pfeiffer. Caring brother-in-law of Richie Pfeiffer (Esperanza), Fernando Espinoza (Julia), Cesar Pfeiffer (Lily), Walter Pfeiffer (Martha) and sister-in-law Ana Pfeiffer. “Awesome“ Uncle to Bonnie, Graham and Allyson MacGregor, Jeffrey, Lauren, and Ella Williamson. Great Uncle to Alexa Ethier and Logan MacGregor. Mark was a professional musician and church organist for many years playing trombone, accordion, and organ in Timmins, Ottawa, Calgary, London and Sudbury. For many years, Mark performed as a musician and music director for the Costa Cruise Lines International. He played trombone with the Harry James Orchestra, 50th Anniversary U.S. Tour and on the Vic Damone and Diahann Carrol U.S. Tour. Mark also enjoyed his musical relationships with many other groups and bands. Most recently, Mark served as music and drama teacher at Saint Benedict Catholic Secondary School in Sudbury. Mark had a passion for fishing, gardening, the Toronto Maple Leafs, CFL football and enjoying “a few cold ones“ with friends. Visitation: Tuesday, July 27 at 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. in Sudbury at LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 181 Main Street, Val Caron. Visitation: Thursday, July 29 at 2:00- 4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. in Timmins at MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 30 at St Anthony Of Padua Cathedral, 73 Spruce St. N. Timmins. In lieu of flowers, donations to Northern Cancer Research Foundation (41 Ramsey Lake Road Sudbury, Ontario P3E 5J1) would be greatly appreciated, so that others might benefit.
