In loving memory of June “Gabby” Grace Malinen (nee Dominique) born December 31, 1936, in Sudbury, Ontario and passed away peacefully on June 18, 2023, at Pioneer Manor with her family by her side. On June 1, 1974, June married her soulmate and love of her life Vic Malinen (predeceased 2014). Loving daughter of John and Marie (nee Ouellette) Dominique both predeceased. June was fiercely devoted to her family, daughter Chantal Shambrook (Pete) and grand-daughters Emmalee (Ryan) and Jenna. One of 12 children she was the 6th child. Dear sister of Alice Beaudry (Bernie predeceased), Hélène Shambrook predeceased (Tony), Jack Dominique (Claire), Anne Brideau predeceased (Roger), Jeannette Bellefeuille, Annette Tennier predeceased (Joe predeceased), Mary-Jane Primeau (Ron), Richard Dominique predeceased (Diane), Dorothy Burt (Ron predeceased) and Patricia Leroy. She had a great work ethic, shared stories of her time working as an elevator operator at Eaton’s and numerous customer experiences working in restaurant service. June loved to travel with Vic and spend time on Manitoulin Island, watching soap operas and recapping episodes with her sisters or daily events over numerous phone calls. She kept in touch with her friends and family. Enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and showering them with glittery gifts. In her later years, June resided at Park Place in Pioneer Manor and became a legend. She was loved by staff and residents a like, and she will be sorely missed by all. There are not sparkles and no glitter that came anywhere near the shine she added to our lives. Gabby’s personality was like no other, no filter, not a care in the world, big, loving, beautiful, shinning personality that didn’t give you the option but to lover her if you knew her. She will be forever missed by her family, siblings and numerous nieces and nephews. Until we meet again. Memorial Service in the R.J.
