In Loving Memory of Mafalda “Folly” Markle (nee Scagnetti). Folly passed at 105 years old, on July 13th, 2023, at her residence, Southwind Retirement Home in Sudbury. Born in Garson, a lifetime resident of the Sudbury area.
Beloved mother of Jerrold J. Markle and Marilyn Markle both predeceased. Cherished daughter of Beniamino and Cristina (Della Vedova) Scagnetti both predeceased. Loving sister of Ben Scagnetti (wife Helen predeceased), and predeceased by Lily Scagnetti, Ronald Scagnetti (wife Helen), Diane Dellelce (husband Nick), Galdino Scagnetti (wife Norma), and Argie, Inez, and Fermino Scagnetti.
In her younger years she enjoyed golfing and curling, and always enjoyed dancing. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church. She was a life member of the Ladies Caruso Club, a member of the Catholic Women’s League at St. Patrick’s Church, and a past member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Folly appreciated the service and personal care by Universal Home Care, Bayshore and Southwind.

Funeral Mass at St. Patrick’s Church, 39 Walford Rd., Sudbury, Tuesday, July 18th, 2023, at 10:30AM. Cremation with interment in the family plot at St. John’s Cemetery in Garson.
