In loving memory of Anita Grace Martel (nee Dureau) who passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 19th, 2023 at Pioneer Manor at the age of 93 years. Born in Wolseley, Saskatchewan to Emilien and Annette (nee Tourigny) Dureau.
Loving Mother to Beverley Witton (Rob), Diane Martel-Titoc (Alex), and Michelle Lynds. Anita will be sadly missed by her special friend Albert Savoie.
Dearest Sister to Johnny Dureau (Doreen), Elie Dureau (Dora), Loretta Minor (Nelson), and Ada Dumas (Gilbert) all predeceased. Cherished Nana to Darren Champaigne, Nicole Vu (Erik), Lindsay Witton, Curtis Kaattari (Selina), Nickolas Kaattari and Travis Kaattari. Beloved Great-Grandmother and “Jelly Bean Nana” to Britanie, Bailey, Kaija, Jaelyn, Kalla, Ryan, Adelaide, Holden, Kaden, Keira, Alaira and Hazel. Special Nana to Dilyan and Aaron.
Anita spent the majority of her life enthusiastically working in sales. Life was lived to the fullest including dancing, bowling, camping, travelling, especially spending time in Florida with Albert, gardening and spending time in the sun.
She was a very independent, determined and resilient woman.
She will be missed by many close family and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated on Friday, March 24th, 2023 at 11:00am at Holy Redeemer Church (1887 Bancroft Drive, Sudbury, ON).
