Peacefully, Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Villa. Beloved mother of Maggie Hurtubise (Daniel) of Boggy Creek, MB, Gerry Courtemanche (Pauline) of Hanmer and Cecile Cowles of Sudbury. Cherished grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Oscar Martel and Laura Pilon. Dear sister of Vic Martel (Patricia) of Elliot Lake, Chris Martel (Mary) of Sudbury, Sylvain Martel (Yvette) of Blezard Valley; predeceased by Martha Hyslop (Ray) of St. Charles and Robert Martel (Doris) of Sudbury. Sadly missed by special friend Francine Morais (Jean-Baptiste) of Elliot Lake. Violette was a long time member of the Good Shepherd Parish in Elliot Lake.
