MARTIN-GAUTHIER, Carmen - passed away peacefully on February 18, 2012, at the age of 77. She was the beloved wife of Raymond D. Gauthier, the devoted mother of Marie-Nol Gauthier, and the loving grandmother of Miguel Bouchard. Daughter of the late Dora Morin and of the late Elzéar Martin of Blezard Valley, she leaves to mourn her, two brothers: Robert (Suzanne Léonard) of Gatineau, and Alfred (Monique Lachance) of Cache Bay. She was predeceased by seven brothers and sisters: Laurent (Claudette Poulin) of Ottawa; Edvitha, Alphonse and Eudovie Moncion of Blezard Valley; Marguerite (Roger St.Amour) of Chute St-Philippe; Hélène (Eldège Prevost) of Kapuskasing and Charles (Claire Baillargeon) of Québec. She also leaves in mourning a friend, Suzanne Bertin, who generously accompanied her during her illness, and a large family of in-laws from whom she had earned esteem and affection: Normand (Audette), Simone (Phil Finkle), the late Camille (the late Liliane), Alma (the late Laurent), Auguste (Anne), Marcel (Jeannine), Thérèse Larose, the late Doris, Diane (Aimé Pelletier), Fern (Jacques Pigeon), Denis (Diane). Carmen will be remembered as a proud, strong, dedicated woman who was always hospitable and generous. In education , she worked in the Sudbury area, in Elliot Lake, in Soest Germany and in Ottawa. She also participated actively with her spouse, in the diplomatic representation for Canada in Lima, Peru (3 years) and in Conakry, Guinea (2 years). The family will receive your condolences at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, 2871 St. Joseph Blvd. in Orléans, on Thursday February 23rd from 9:00a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
