Cherished pepere of Shawna, Nathan, Alexander, Désirée, Dalton and Danielle. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Marianne (née Dequanne) Mathias and by his stepfather Louis Labrecque. Loving brother of Pauline Girard (Armand) of Hearst. Predeceased by his father-in-law August and mother-in-law Leonie (née Levesque) Rainville. Dear brother-in-law of Viola Houle of Sudbury, Claudette Rossi (late Jim) of London, Conrad Rainville of Sudbury, Carole Desloges (Guy) of Sudbury. Predeceased by his brother-in-law Andre Rainville. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Jean-Paul worked at Inco for 32 years and retired in 1991. He enjoyed his retirement by working at Cedar Green Golf Course where he also loved to spend time golfing with his wife. He also went on to driving school buses for 8 years. J.P. enjoyed volunteering his time coaching special needs children at Plaza Bowl where he was also a member. He also dedicated much of his time to his church and the Knights of Columbus. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his family, especially sharing a cup of coffee in the morning with his wife Jackie while playing a good game of cards. At Jean-Paul's request, there will be no visitations. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 3rd, 2012 at 12:00 (Noon) at Ste-Anne-des- Pins Church, Sudbury. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation or a mass would be appreciated.
