It is with great sadness that the family of Royal (Willie) Matte announces his passing at HSN, at the age of 85 years on August 22nd.
Survived by his siblings Lucille Coutu (Yvan predeceased), Rolande Ross, Lucienne St-Amand and Viviane Viens (Yvan). Predeceased by his parents, Joseph Matte, and Amanda Matte (Laurin), his brothers Roger Matte and Roland Matte, his two sisters Laurette Boudreault and Lorraine Pellerin. Royal will also be missed by his many nieces, and nephews.
Royal enjoyed learning about the history of communities, as well as worldly news. He was an avid pool player and enjoyed sharing his many card tricks.
As per his wishes, there will be no visitation. Those who wish may make a donation to a charity of their choice. Arrangements entrusted to the Sudbury Park Lawn Cremation Service.
