MAYER-PHARAND, Lilianne (née Carrière) - The family announces with sorrow, her death in Sudbury, Monday, August 31, 2009 at the age of 83 years. Daughter of the late Eudore and of the late Pearl (née Pedneault) Carrière. Beloved wife of Sylvio Pharand and of the late Roger Mayer, predeceased in 1985. Loving mother of Aline Mayer of Noëlville, Diane Mayer, Denise Mayer and Jacques Mayer all of Sudbury and Louise Mayer of Barrie. Dear sister of Eddy Carrière (Thérèse) and Lévina Carrière (Raymond) both of Alban, Lucille Séguin (Doris) and Diane Mayer (Donald) both of Noëlville and Flory Higgins (Don) of Windsor. Predeceased by her sisters Rita Bergeron and Thérèse Horth. Sadly missed by her 7 grandchildren and her 9 great- grandchildren. Predeceased by one great- grandchild. Lilianne's good character and the kindness of her heart won the affection of her loved ones and all who knew her. She will be mostly remembered for her countless hours of volunteer work. The family will receive relatives and friends at St-David's Parish Hall, Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, September 4, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in St-David's Church, Noëlville. Donations (by cheque only) to the Diabetes Association, the Northern Cancer Research Foundation or St-Joseph's Continuing Care Centre would be appreciated.
