Cecil B. McAloney

March 15, 1940- June 20, 2023

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye with love to the head and heart of our family. A loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Cecil was a true family man who always put his family first. He was a loving husband, great dad, a good friend, a hard worker who loved Elvis and country music and continued to hope the Leafs would win the cup.

He and Sharon spent 60 years together, raised their family through good times and bad. They spent 25 winters in Florida where they made many new friends and he became the local Mr. Fixit, always willing to lend a hand for whatever needed fixing. He and Sharon loved to travel, especially cruising and were lucky enough to visit some amazing places over the years.

Cecil was born on March 15, 1940, in River Hebert Nova Scotia to Cecil and Stella McAloney. When he was 12 the family moved to Sudbury where he spent most of his adult life. He started working for Northern Ontario Natural Gas in 1962 and remained with the company through several company name changes until he retired in 1999.

Cec and his family celebrated his life while together prior to his passing, another gift he gave us. He passed away at his home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sharon; his children, Chantell (Ray) Colleen (Mark) and Darrel (Amy) predeceased by his daughter Natalie (Valerie); Grandchildren, Kayla, Kyrie (Cory), Michael (Jennifer), Janice(Mike), David, Todd, Madisyn, Meghan ( Spencer), Beatrice, Ashley, Bailey, Maddix and Dayton and eight great grandchildren; Mya, Parker, Audrey, Callum, Briella, Caleigh, Hudson and Elliott.

At his request there will be no visitation. Those wishing to honour Cecil can do so by spending time with those you love because time is the one thing you never have enough of.
