McCANN, Rose - It is with great sadness that the family of Rose McCann announces her death at the Sault Area Hospital - Plummer Site, on Tuesday March 1, 2011 at the age of 75 years. She was surrounded by supportive family and friends for several days prior to her passing. Rose graduated in 1956 from the Marymount School of Nursing in Sudbury, ON and had a varied career in nursing until her retirement from the V.O.N. in Sault Ste. Marie. Her very proud parents were Anthony Carbone and Angelina Ubriaco. Beloved sister of Mary Cundari (late Romeo), late John Carbone (Lillian), Art Carbone (Beth) and Rita Rollins (Don). She will be missed by eleven precious nieces and nephews and their families. At Rose's request a private family funeral was held at St. Gerard Majella Church with Rev. Francis Ezenezi officiating. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Gerard Majella Church (211 Pentagon, Sault Ste. Marie) on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 9 am.
