McCENDIE, Beatrice Rose (Roy) - The family announces with profound sorrow her passing at the Blind River District Health Centre on April 3, 2011 at the age of 69 years. Predeceased by her parents Phillip and Marion Roy (Gauthier), she is survived by her loving husband Maurice McCendie of 49 years, sons Mark (Nancy), Michel (Michelle) all of Spanish and grandchildren Kaylee, Chloe and Lexi Rose who were the love of her life. Dear sister of Annette Truchon (Hector), Vivian Amyot (Marc), Margaret Carrière (John) and the late Harry Roy. Loving daughter in law of the late Cecil and Jeanne McCendie and sister in law to Claire Vaillancourt. Also survived by numerous nephews and nieces. Anyone who knew Bea was amazed by her continued perseverance of crushing health challenges, her impulse, strong spirit and kind nature and she will live on in the memories of friends and family. Bea's favourite pastimes were gardening, especially her indoor plants and participating in the Christmas craft sales with beautiful knitting. The family would like to thank Dr. Barnes and fellow Doctors, nurses and staff throughout the hospital for the special care they gave to Bea while in their care. Also, to Medigas, Red Cross, Bayshore staff, Algoma Community Services and to Father Jim. At the family's request, there will be no service and a memorial service is to follow at a later date. To Margaret, for being our rock and guiding light, you were there at our side and shared in this difficult journey from the beginning. Just a phone call away, you never hesitated to lend a hand, offer a kind word of support and be there and for this you will always have a special place in our hearts. Memorial contributions payable by cheque to the Blind River District Health Centre or the Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
