The McColeman family mourns the loss of Angus McColeman, cherished Husband Father who passed away on Wednesday, May 8th, 2024, at the age of 83. He was a beloved son to the late Tory and Margaret (née Connors) and stepmother Lillian (née Withers) McColeman and a devoted husband to Evelyn (née Collin) McColeman.

He was a loving father to Pauline, Steven (Marce), and Darrell (Cynthia), and his absence will be deeply felt by his grandchildren, Colin (Kate), Matthew, Kassandra, and Brittany.

He will also be remembered by his sister, Marion (Claude) Chiasson, Kathy (late Jim Mick), and his in-laws, Irene Francis, Jacques Rathwell (Linda) and Jocelyn Rathwell.

He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Armand Collin, and sisters-in-law, Lillian (John) Deschene and Yvette (Alton) Stanton.

His departed siblings, Roy (Rose), Manley (Carmelle), Gordon (Jenny), James (Thelma), Alvin (Yvette), Arnold (Helen), Raymond (Rachel), Thomas (Patricia), Jean (Shorty) Burton, and Eleanor (Howard) also precede him in passing.

Gus dedicated over 30 years of service to INCO and cherished his subsequent 20 years of early retirement, spending winters as a snowbird with family and friends. Gus was a passionate fisherman, golfer, and camper.

He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion.

Memorial visitation will be held at the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury where friends may gather from 1-3pm on Sunday, May 12th, 2024. Memorial mass at St. John the Evangelist Church, 255 Church Street, Sudbury on Monday May 13th, 2024 at 11am. Interment of ashes will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
