MCGILLIS, Bernadette Victoria (nee Chayer) - Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 28th, 2013. Loving wife of Stanley (predeceased) and special friend of Leo Guisti (predeceased). Loving mother of Brian (Sheila), Joanne Gagnon (Ernie), Christopher (Christine), Gordy (Joanne), Darren (Enrica). Wonderful grandmother of Natasha (Eddie), Brock, Joshua (Tina), Alexander, Cory, Zachary, Jillian, Alexandrea, Stanley, Codie, Samantha and Michaela. Bernadette cherished her four beautiful great- grandchildren, Skyler, Ethan, Makenzie and Madyson. Beloved daughter of Leo and Emela (Marion) Chayer, both predeceased. Treasured sister of Rheal, predeceased, (Florese), Madeline Sabourin, predeceased, Carmel Bole (Lyle, predeceased), Cecile Brown, Fernande MacDonald (Brian), Jean- Marc, predeceased (Ila), Jeanne (predeceased), Rolland (Claudette) and Rollande Sutcliffe (Ron). Dear daughter-in- law of Daniel and Natalie (Kirwin) McGillis, both predeceased. Cherished sister-in law of Marion Gamache and husband Gerry, both predeceased, Viola Portelance (Rene, predeceased), Finley McGillis (predeceased), Margaret Pigeau (Jimmy), Christina Ranta (Bob), Carmen Boivin (Ricky, predeceased) and Leona Plante (Norm). Loved by many nieces, nephews and family and friends. Bernadette was a faithful and active member of St. Marc Parish of Markstay for most of her life. She truly loved to travel, play cards and laugh. Her pride and joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Maki and his staff for all of their years of care and extend our sincere gratitude for all the love and support that the staff and volunteers at the Maison Vale Hospice showed to Bernadette in her time of need. Donations to the Maison Vale Hospice would be great appreciated. Friends may call at St. Mark's Church in Markstay after 10am. Memorial Mass at 11am on Friday April 5th, 2013.
