McNEELY, Helen

November 7, 1931 – July 10. 2021

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Helen McNeely (Lingard) announces the passing of their cherished mother, sister, grandmother, great, and great great grandmother at St. Gabriel’s Villa in Chelmsford after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Helen resided in Capreol, Ontario most of her life. She worked for more than 20 years as a Health Care Aide. She was a strong-willed woman with a tender heart. She had a great love for the outdoors and animals, particularly her beloved dogs. She leaves behind a legacy of love and family.  She is predeceased by her loving husband Frank Lingard. She will be missed by her sister Yvonne Lancia, her children David Lingard (wife Rosemary), Gwenne Roles (husband Brian), Shelley Westhaver (husband Gary), Cathy Gill (husband Richard), Jeff Lingard, and Alex Lingard (wife Laura), as well as her grandchildren (Kyle, Kurt, Brandy, Marcey, T.J., Frank, David, Amber, Danielle, Stacey, Tammy, Laurie, Stacey ) and her great grandchildren (Eric, Billie, Nicholas, Janna, Bryson, Zoey, Hailey, Emily, Briana, Michael, Kyle, Sarah, and Allison), and great great grandchildren (Iliana, Eliyas). A special thank you to the staff of St. Gabriel’s Villa for the wonderful care they provided our mom over the last 5 and a half years. A private family service will be held in the R.J. Barnard Chapel at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., Sudbury, Ontario on Friday, July 16, 2021 at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, a donation can me made directly to Pet Save Sudbury. Cremation with interment in the Capreol Cemetery. No public visitation.
