In Loving Memory of Madeline McNichol (nee Kewais)57 years Monday, June 21st, 2010 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital.Beloved common law partner of Chris Southwind. Loving mother of Clarence Kewais and Tina Kewais-Wemigwans (husband Anthony “Tony”). Cherished grandmother of Leo Kewais-Wemigwans predeceased, Brittany, Caleb and Faith. Dear daughter of Levi predeceased and Dora Kewais (nee Nootchtai) of Naughton. Dear sister of Wesley Nootchtai, Levi Kewais Jr. (Diane), Debbie (Gary Steeves), Larry Kewais (Bonnie), Ellen Sauve, Jackie Kewais, Leo Kewais (Bea), Barbara (Mick), Cheryl Ma Hannah and Robin Mooney and sister-in-law of Irene, Elaine, Rose, Beverley Southwind, Donna Groulx, Tim and Raymond Southwind. Special auntie to many nieces, nephews and godchildren. Born in Sudbury on March 8th, 1953 she worked for many years in the kitchen at the Sudbury Memorial Hospital. In her leisure time she enjoyed playing pool. Her strong beliefs and native traditions were very important to her. She attended many Pow Wow’s always making sure there was food for all to enjoy especially her famous bannock. What brought the greatest joy to her was the time she was able to spend with her family.Resting at the Whitefish Lake Community Centre
Funeral Mass in St. Christopher Church, Whitefish Friday, June 25th, 2010 at 11 a.m. A traditional Ceremony will be held nightly at 7:30 p.m. Interment at the Whitefish Lake Reserve Cemetery.Donations to the Diabetic Association would be appreciated.(Friends and family are welcome)Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
