It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Earl Henry Menard, born February 22nd, 1938. Earl passed peacefully on November 10th, 2023 at the age of 85 years, surrounded by his family at Health Sciences North. Son of the late Rene and of the late Yvonne Menard (née Thibeault). Loving father of Terry (Theresa) Paradis (Rhodey) of Sudbury, Lloyd (Juanita) Menard of Renfrew as well as Heather “Barb” (Gaetane) Menard of Sudbury. Dear grandfather of Marc and Donna Paradis, Cory Menard and of the late Ryan Paradis. Also predeceased by his brother Maurice Menard as well as his nephew Michael. Survived by his niece Shelley.
Earl had a lengthy career at INCO (Vale), where he worked underground for many years, ending his career working in Security and Safety. After retirement he found peace and fulfillment in the simple things in life. He enjoyed riding and spending time with his horse Larissa. Time spent on the golf course with his buddies and being part of the bowling league occupied his time in his early retirement.
Our father was a quiet man who enjoyed watching sports especially basketball, spending his afternoons reading a good western and playing guitar. Earl appreciated the help he received from home and community care workers and his family. There will be a private celebration of life in the spring with the family.
