MICHAUD, Ida (nee Dasti) - In Loving Memory of Ida (nee Dasti) Michaud, 88 years
Sunday, June 19th, 2011 at the Extendicare-Falconbridge, Sudbury. Born July 29th, 1922 in Foleyet and received her early education there. Then moved to Sudbury and faithfully attended St. Clement’s Church. In 1941 she graduated from Sacred Heart College, Ottawa where she obtained a diploma in Commerce. She was employed for 26 years with Pineland Lumber Co. in Foleyet and the head office in Sudbury. Ida was a member of the Canadian Red Cross Corps. since 1957. She served as secretary treasurer of the Corps and did volunteer work at blood donor clinics, hospital’s and nursing homes. She was honored in 1978 by Minister Denis Timbrell when presented with a 20 year Canadian Red Cross service pin. Ida enjoyed her home and farm “La Boulloniere” on Wabagishik Lake with family and friends. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed seasonal sports. Beloved wife of Dr. Rheal Michaud. Cherished daughter of John and Ernestine (Greco) Dasti predeceased. Loving sister of Dominic Dasti (wife Yvette) both predeceased, Doreen predeceased (husband Maurice Primeau) and Marilyn (husband Richard Paquette). Sadly missed by loving nieces and nephews. Lovingly remembered by godchildren Lissa Gagnon and Mona Primeau. Memorial Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St. Sudbury, Tuesday, June 21st, 2011 at 7 P.M. Cremation with entombment at the Civic Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Fund or Canadian Red Cross would be appreciated. (Friends may gather after 6 P.M. TUESDAY)
