MONTELEONE, Peppina (POLIFRONI)

In Loving Memory of Peppina (nee Polifroni) Monteleone 90 years Peacefully, Saturday, January 31st, 2015 at Health Sciences North. Beloved wife of Girolamo Monteleone predeceased 1970. Loving mother of Bruna Monteleone, Antonio Monteleone (wife Janet), Pina Monteleone (Stephen Brent) and Sylvester Monteleone (Gail). Cherished Nana of MacGill “Girolamo” Monteleone. Dear daughter of Silvestro and Francesca Polifroni predeceased. Dear sister of Antonio, Maria, Rossaria, Giuseppe and Carmelo all predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. She loved NFL football whose favorite team was Dallas and player was Dan Marino. Peppina’s passion was cooking and she was happiest when preparing and hosting family dinners. She was an avid gardener whose green thumb produced bountiful vegetables. She was an expert and proud winemaker. The focus of her life was her loving family. She will be remembered as a generous and hospitable person who was quick to help others. The family expresses their appreciation to Dr. J. Maki and Dr. K. deBlacam and the nursing staff of the 5th floor South Tower at Health Sciences North for their excellent care and compassion. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Hope Church 591 Brennan Rd., Sudbury Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015 at 1 p.m. Entombment in the Civic Mausoleum Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated. As per Peppina’s wishes there will be no funeral home visitation.
