MOORS, Ivan Lewis - March 17, 1933 - January 2, 2013 - It is with great sorrow the family announces the passing of Ivan in his 80th year. Beloved husband of 55 years to Hannah (McCulloch). Loving father of Valerie Laframboise (Amie), Rocky (Sandy), Roderick (Sherri), Donna Burgess of Nova Scotia and Lee (Aimee) of Fort Frances. Loved grandfather of Sabrina (Chris), Felicia, Staci, Cody, Sherry, Philip Jr., Jacqueline and Roxanne. Great Grandpa of Ashton, Hayden, Oasis, Alexander, Garth, Crystal, Andrew, Bronson and Dina. Dear brother of Colleen of Naughton, William (Irene) of Nova Scotia and predeceased by sisters Daisy and Florence and parents Donald and Laura Moors (MacDonald). Yvan was a woodsmen and miner, he worked in the big timbers in B.C. leaving there he went to N.W.T. to the Gold Mine from there he returned to Nova Scotia in 1958 where he met his wife Hannah and moved to Sudbury in 1959. He worked at INCO for 17 years from there he went to Elliot Lake Mines, retiring form there in the 80's. He was a Certified #1 Hoistman. Ivan loved moose and deer hunting with his boys. We will remember Ivan by the many garage parties and story telling, many good times and much laughter. Ivan had quite a life. He was a very proud family man and stood up for his beliefs. He will be forever in our hearts and will be missed greatly! A Celebration of Ivan's Life will be held at the family home, 114 Paul St., Whitefish on Saturday, January 5th, 2013 starting at 2p.m. Cremation. Arrangements entrusted to the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME.
