In loving memory of James “Reg” Morin 83 years. Passed away on Saturday, July 16th, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Center in Sudbury. He passed away peacefully with his soul mate and the love of his life, Gladys at his side. Born July 6th, 1939 in Massey to Elzear and Mae Morin (nee Burke) both predeceased. Brother to Lillian Coulterman (Frank), John Morin (May) Joyce Wiltsie (James) and Mary Robitaille (Roger) all predeceased. Survived by his wife of 60 years Gladys (nee Flinn), daughters Cindy Laurin (Yvon) and Judy Morin (Heather), and son Jeff Morin (Mharrietthess). Grandfather of Devan Laurin (Bradyn) and Dustin Laurin (Elizabeth) and Samantha Morin predeceased and great grandfather of Jason, Ameah, Lincoln, Ella, and Emmett. Brother-in-law of Marilyn Lackey (Gary), Allan Flinn (Ruth), and Lois Poll (Gordon predeceased. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.

Reg was in the army PPCLI Infantry, where he got his wings as a para trooper. He worked at INCO for 25 years before retiring on a disability pension. He was very active in the union Local 6500 as a Steward and also on the Health and Safety Committee. He always had a smile and saw only the good in people. He was Santa Claus for many years at Garson Manor Nursing Home, giving out treats to the residents on Christmas Day. He loved bowling, playing cards, travel, hunt, fish, and spending time at his camp on Sand Bay. He loved his family more than anything, and was happiest when spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Memorial service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022 at 11:30 am. Friends may gather in the chapel after 11:00 am on Wednesday.
