MUNCASTER, Delia Marie - We regret to announce the passing of a great mother, grandmother and sister, Delia Muncaster in Falconbridge on May 21st, 2010 at the age of 87. Pre-deceased by her husband Leo Muncaster, she is survived by her children Karen Fraser (Allan) of California, Murray Muncaster (Kim) of Walford, Sharon Muncaster of London, Susan Muncaster of Brampton, Bonnie Muncaster of London and Tami Bigelow (Todd) of Dowling. Dear grandmother to Courtney, Browen, Ashley, Tara, Carrie, Tina, Dean, Michael, Amanda, Matthew, Lauren, Logann and the late Amber. Dear sister of Nora St. Gelais, Theresa Genoe, Doreen Frost, Eva Tomalin, Priscilla Budge the late Albert Gignac, late Ida Beckerton, late Don Gignac and late Marlene Gignac. Also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and great nephews and great nieces. Born in Walford, she worked at a small arms ammunition plant in Toronto during WWII and later returned to open a hairdressing shop in Spanish where she was fondly known in the community as the Hat Lady. Maintaining a strong commitment to her faith, she volunteered for over 25 years at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Elliot Lake and was a lifetime member of the Catholic Women's League (CWL). Never one to shy away from anyone in need of support, Delia will be forever remembered as a truly great woman who endeared herself to everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. Friends may call at the ELLIOT LAKE FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATION CENTRE (36 Ontario Ave.) Monday from 6- 8 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 25th, 2010 at 11:00 am from St. Sebastien Parish in Spanish. Interment to follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
