MURDOCH, Douglas Melville (Doug) - Passed away peacefully with family at his side on Wednesday, December 12, 2012. Doug was predeceased by his parents Herbert (Mel) and Hazel (née Reynolds) Murdoch. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Gail Murdoch (née Sceviour) and his 3 loving children, daughter Kerri (Scott) Crawford of Ottawa, son Robert (Carole) Murdoch of Kirkland Lake and son David (Barbara Ann) Murdoch of Garson. Loving grandfather to his six grandchildren, Tyrus and Liam Crawford, Lauren and Ryan Murdoch and Melissa and Jason Murdoch. He is also survived by his sister Kathleen (John) Knight of Sudbury, Robert (Beverly) Murdoch of Canmore, Alberta, sister-in-law Judy (Russ) Evans of Kenogami and his many nieces and nephews. A heartfelt thank you to the Northeast Cancer Centre - Health Sciences North in Sudbury and the 4th floor staff at the Kirkland & District Hospital for their excellent care and compassion. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Ek. A private graveside gathering will be held at the Kirkland Lake Cemetery in the Spring of 2013.
