MURPHY, Robert - It is with sadness that the family of Robert Murphy announce his passing on December 13, 2012. Much loved husband of Cherie (nee Noseworthy). Bob will be much missed by his children Cherie Inksetter, Jim Harper (Cathi), Jason Harper (Karen), Aaron Murphy (Katherine) and Lucas Murphy and his grand children Bob, Lindsay, Michelle, Marty, Katie, Michael and Matthew and great grand daughter Tiana. Bob is predeceased by his parents Henri and Lucienne and Audrey as well as his brothers Reg and Paul. Also survived by his siblings Michael (Shirley), Rachelle Gervais (Lloyd), Carmen Collette (Roger), Jean- Marc (Cathy), Dan (Dawn) and Marie-Ann McGinn (Owen). Bob was a long time employee of Hydro One (retired) and a faithful member of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Caledonia, where he was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus and an Immediate Past Grand Knight of the Caledonia Chapter. Bob was a former president of the Caledonia Optimist Club and a former district commissioner of Scouts Canada. The family will receive friends at the MILLER FUNERAL CHAPEL (28 Caithness St. E., Caledonia) on Monday December 17, 2012 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. with a prayer vigil at 8 p.m. The celebration of his life will take place on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church (107 Orkney St. E., Caledonia). Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
