MURPHY, Roy H. - In Loving Memory of Roy H. Murphy 78 years Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the Health Sciences North. Beloved husband of 53 years to Doris (Adams) Murphy. Loving father of Cathy Poirier (Mike), Brenda Olson (Lloyd), Ruth Ann Bergen, Nancy Yaw (Russell), Carol Scott (Ron), Patrick Murphy (Leandra), Colleen Bass (Curtis) and Wendy Lacombe (Robert). Cherished grandfather of 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Dear son of James and May Belle (Gauthier) Murphy predeceased. Dear brother of Beulah Robinson, Doris De Laurier, Sylvia Siroski (Robert), Ann Kenopic (Bill), Keith Murphy, Hughie Murphy (Lorna), Linda Parker (Larry) and predeceased by Shirley Train, Carmen Pettigrew (Allan), Jeannette Williams, James Murphy, Ethel Van Reeth, Larry Murphy and David Murphy. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. A well liked and respected Lively resident Roy was born in Renfrew. He married Doris (nee Adams) in Toronto in 1953. He was an INCO miner retiring in 1990 for 31 years. A proud Canadian Roy was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #564 Lockerby. An avid outdoorsman he was a member of Ont Federation Anglers and Hunters since 1952 and he was past president of the Creighton Lively Conservation Club. He was devoted to his loving family. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME 252 Regent St., at Hazel St. Funeral Mass in St. Pius X Church, Lively Monday, March 26th, 2012 at 10 a.m. Interment in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Parish Prayers at 4 p.m. Sunday Donations to the Regional Cancer Program or Maison Vale Hospice would be appreciated. Friends may call 2-5; 7-9 p.m. Sunday.
