NAOKWEGIJIG, Emir (nee Gabow) - In loving memory of Faye Emir Naokwegijig (nee Gabow) February 9, 1976 - November 28, 2012 A resident of Wikwemikong passed away at the age 36. Beloved wife of Leon Naokwegijig. Loving mother of Lillian, James and Christopher. Cherished daughter of Martha Gabow and Maurice Fox and dear daughter in law to Leonard and Theresa Naokwegijig. Dear sister to Stacey Fox of Ottawa and Curtis Fox (Becky) of Wikwemikong, dear sister in law to Cheryl of Hamilton, Bernie (Darlene) and Neil (Ursula) of Wikwemikong, Bruce (Melanie) of Little Current and Eric (Desiree) of Sudbury. Will be sadly missed by many family members and friends of Wikwemikong and Orillia. Faye and her mom were very close, they lived in Orillia where she attended school. She moved back to Wiky where she met the love of her life, her husband Leon and presented him with three beautiful babies making Martha a very proud grandmother. She was very well liked by her new family and enjoyed many family gatherings with the Corbiere/Naokwegijig family. Faye and her hubby Leon enjoyed cooking together and getting online recipes. She was a big fan of Duran Duran, Jr. A and NHL hockey especially the Toronto Maple Leafs (no comment please. . .lol). She was an Alumnae of Debajehmujig and had worked at Casino Rama before moving to Wiky to be a wonderful full time mom to her Lillian, James and Christopher. Visitation at St. Ignatius Church, Buzwah Saturday, December 1st, 2012 after 1 PM. Funeral Mass celebrated by Fr. Jim Kelly, sj at Holy Cross Church Wikwemikong on Monday, December 3rd, 2012 at 11 AM. Interment at Wikwemikong Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Scholarship Fund for the Children would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME.
