NAPONSE, Gordon “Gordie“ - In Loving memory of Gordon “Gordie“ Naponse 71 years. Peacefully Tuesday April 2, 2013 at the Health Sciences North with loving family at his side. Beloved husband of Kathleen (Gorman) Naponse. Loving and proud father of Lorraine, Michael (Michelle), Bob, Rachel (Brian) and Tammy (Jeff). Cherished grandfather of Daniel, Isaac, Theodora, Jonah predeceased, Owen, Blake, Jocelyn, Brock, Layne, Madeline, Tanner, Macey, Jake, Hope, Beau, Bronson, Joseph and great grandson Kade. Dear son of Ted and Mary Naponse predeceased. Dear son in law to Bob and Bernice Gorman predeceased. Dear brother of Ethel (Jack predeceased), Margaret & Lawrence both predeceased, Linda & George, Larry & Coralee, Jeff & Dolores, Randy & Jeanne Viviour, Laura and Jim predeceased, Carl and Valentina. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Gordon will be lovingly remembered by the Gorman Family. Originally a logger, Gordon was a top bonus miner at Creighton Mine. He had been a councillor member at Whitefish Lake 1st Nation Council. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family on Lake Penage, fishing, hunting, boating, and camping. He took great pride in his home and yard. He was a keen bingo player and will be missed by his fellow bingo players at Valley Bingo and Boardwalk Bingo. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME 252 Regent Street at Hazel St. Friends may call Thursday 2-5 & 7-9pm and after 11am Friday with parish prayers at 4pm Thursday. Funeral Mass in St. Stanislaus Church Copper Cliff Friday April 5, 2013 at 1pm Interment in Whitefish Lake 1st Nations Cemetery. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
