NARBONNE-BARSS, Irène (née Giroux) - The family announces with great sorrow her passing away on June 3, 2010 at the age of 86 at the Laurentian Hospital in Sudbury. She is preceeded in death by her first husband Henri Narbonne (1969). She is survived by her husband of 33 years Lloyd Barss, her children Fernand (Hélène) of Manitouwadge, Robert (Brenda) of Timmins, Donald (Lucille) of Cochrane, Cécile and Marcel of Edmonton, stepdaughter Karen-Ann(Dave) Bimm of Sudbury and Debra Sealey of Winnipeg. She also leaves in mourning 9 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, her sister Cécile (Paul) Lavoie, brother in law René (Mary) Narbonne and Laurette Allard. The family will receive friends and relatives for viewing on June 23, 2010 from 10:00a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at: COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Sudbury , 222 Lasalle East (705-566-2100 ) followed by a service Friday June 25, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in Hearst at: Lafrance Funeral Home, 715 Edward (705-362-4644) Saturday June 26, 2010 from 1:00p.m. to 1:30p.m. at: Hearst Cathedral followed by Mass. In memory of Irène, memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (by cheque only).
