NAUHA, Gayle

May 31, 2012

NAUHA, Gayle - It is with great sadness that the family of Gayle Nauha (nee Potts) announces her passing on Tuesday May 29 at Health Sciences North with her family at her side. Loving wife of Bob Nauha, predeceased, and wonderful mother to Bev (husband Michael Bellrose) and Shelley (husband Dan Watson). She was a much loved Nana to Chelsea, Jacob, Hannah and James, and loving mother-in-law of Michael and Dan. Gayle was born in Sudbury to James and Margaret (Cameron) Potts, predeceased, and was the youngest of eight siblings, Phyllis Adams, Douglas Potts, Beryl Kuula, Cameron Potts, Pat Powell, Morna Cashmore, and Morleane Sandberg, all predeceased. Gayle will be remembered for her laughter and her love of life, family, and friends. She was incredibly social, enjoyed meeting people, and was able to make lasting friendships with those who were fortunate enough to get to know her. A good and loyal friend to many, her greatest joy was being with her family. She was very proud of her children, sons in law, and grandchildren, and loved spending time with them. Always a caregiver, she will be remembered for her strength, resilience and sense of humour, even during the most difficult times. The family would like to thank Dr. Sauve and the ICU/CVT team for their caring and compassion. Memorial Visitation at the JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury after 5 p.m. Friday. A celebration of Gayle's Life will be held in the R. J. Barnard Chapel Friday, June 1, 2012 at 7 p.m. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sam Bruno Pet Scanner Fund would be appreciated.
