It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of mom, Helen Rose Nault on Sunday July 9th, 2023, surrounded by family, at the age of 86.
Daughter of Alphonse and Jeanne Gascon (nee Doré) predeceased.
Loving sister to Rene Gascon (Pat), Cécile Chevrette(Claude), Ed Gascon(Viv), Neil Gascon(Cecile), Pauline Belec(Paul) and Dan Gascon(Janet).
Beloved and cherished wife of 66 years to Bert who she has now joined. Loving and devoted mother of Kathy Kaattari (Doug), Denise Blakely (Ernie), Sue Beaudry (Réjean), Caroline Teske, and Al Nault (Kerri).
Proud Grandma to Steve, Ashley, Sarah, Justin, Jennifer, Jessica, Hayley, Adam, Zach, Aidan, and Emma.

Helen was happiest surrounded by her family at all our celebrations and gatherings. You could always find her tickling the ivories as she loved her music. Her big heart always made sure that there were surprises and favorite treats available for everyone. Gardening was one of her favorite pastimes even at her last place of residence. Mom will always be with us as we share her renowned meat pies at Christmas. So many beautiful memories created by her kindness will help fill the hole in our hearts. The world was a better place with her in it.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11am Saturday July 15, 2023, at Holy Redeemer Church, 1887 Bancroft Drive, Sudbury, Ontario. Cremation with interment in the family plot at St. John’s Cemetery, Garson. In lieu of flowers donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation or the Parkinson’s Foundation would be appreciated.
