NEIL, Albert Jackson Jack - In loving memory of Albert Jackson Jack Neil 1924 - 2009 who died peacefully at the Laurentian Hospital, Sudbury on September 23rd. Loving husband of Betty Neil (nee Coo) and dearly loved father of Jane Potter (Mike) of Calgary, Ann Sanders of Picture Butte and Trish Pierini (Wayne Leymann) of Uxbridge. Proud grandfather of Ian (Tomo Suzuki), Amanda (Joe Holland) and Carla (Geoff Romanowski) Pierini, Brendan and Colleen Ross, and Arthur and Andrew Sanders. Also great grandfather of Mai and Avery. Jack was born in St. Catharines Ontario. Predeceased by his father Hibbert Neil and mother Gertrude (nee Hiscott) as well as his sister Beverley Evenden. Jack served in the R.C.A.F. during WWII as a Sergeant Pilot and volunteered for transfer to the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm. Following the war, Jack graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Civil Engineering). Jack was employed at INCO as Chief Field Engineer, Ontario Division. He resided in Lively with his family for over 50 years. Jack was active in volunteer work including the technical board of Nickel District Conservation Authority, Walden Home Support, Meals on Wheels, and Walden Seniors. Jack requested direct cremation with no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Friends and family may make charitable donations in Jack's name to the Parkinson's Society of Canada. Arrangements entrusted to the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St., Sudbury.
