With fond and cherished memories, we sadly announce the passing of Neoma Grace Nicksy (nee Bryan), 98 years, on Sunday January 16, 2022 at Extendicare York Sudbury. Beloved wife of Willis Nicksy (predeceased 1982).  Loving mother of Mary Leblanc (Eugene) and Donald Nicksy (predeceased 1999). Dear mother-in-law of Marielle (nee Gascon). She will be missed dearly by her 3 grandsons, who were her world: Darin Nicksy (Marie-Josee), Patrick Leblanc (Kathleen), and Ken Nicksy (Ginette). She also will be missed by her 8 great grandchildren; Caitlyn, Stephanie, Amanda (predeceased), Mathieu, Samantha, Nicholas (predeceased), Jake, Jeremie, her 2 great great grandchildren; Aurora and Colton. Survived by her sister Helen Gorgichuk (Peter-predeceased), Jessie Paquette (Earl-predeceased), and Faye Nevilles (Charlie), and loving sister of 9 predeceased siblings: Pearl Cosby (Alex), Mae Ashby (Arnold), Mary Wager (Lloyd), Lorene Eade (Richard), Bill, Jim, Mark, and Ted. Sadly missed by many family, friends, nieces, and nephews. She was a hard worker, farm girl, an excellent cook, and loved her family. She loved her flowers and loved to fish. We would like to thank all the staff on the 5th floor at Extendicare York for all your hard work and for taking good care of our beloved Neoma Nicksy. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. At the family’s request, there will be no funeral visitation or service.
