It is with heavy yet peaceful hearts the family wishes to announce the passing of Patricia Nixon (nee Bloemmen) at her home, lovingly surrounded by family on September 11th, 2021.
Pat is predeceased by her loving husband Dan and youngest son Dana, her parents Joseph Bloemmen and Eva (nee Cataford), her sister Nora MacDonald and niece Lori Ann. She will be so incredibly missed by her son Derek and his wife Julie, her niece Donna and her partner Darrell, her great niece and nephew, Breanne and Devan and the Nixon clan.
Pat held a special place in the hearts of many family and friends including her nursing classmates and colleagues, her fellow “Conistonians” and the gang at Stop 2200.
It is truly impossible to put pen to paper to capture her essence. She was “everyone’s nurse”! She was strong, determined, loving, compassionate, caring, honest, oh so brave and the list goes on…. She loved nature, being active, long walks, reading and helping out in any way she could. Those whose lives she touched will be forever grateful as it’s impossible to forget someone who gave us so much to remember.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice made in Patricia’s memory would be appreciated.
