NOWAK, Edward J. - In Loving Memory of Edward J. Nowak, 86 years, Friday, October 19th, 2012 at Health Sciences North. Beloved husband of Wieslawa “Vicky“ (Borowiak) Nowak predeceased 2002. Loving father of Elaine Bates predeceased 2002 (husband Tracy) and Richard Nowak. Loving brother of Jerzy, Jan and Marian. Sadly missed by nieces and nephews. Born in Poland, he married Wieslawa (nee Borowiak) in Germany in 1950 moving to Canada where he settled in Sudbury. He worked at INCO for 37 years retiring in 1988 as a Control Room Technician. Edward was a proud member of the Polish Combatants Association #13. He was a member and supporter of St. Casimir's Church. He was an avid gardener whose green thumb produced bountiful vegetables. He loved all things “Polish“ from sports to culture. He will be remembered as a generous person who was devoted to his loving family, especially as a dedicated caregiver to his wife during her health issues. Funeral Prayers in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME 233 Larch St. Sudbury, Wednesday, October 24th, 2012 at 11:30AM. Interment in the family plot at the Civic Cemetery. Donations to the M.S.
