The family announces with great sorrow her passing at Maison McCulloch Hospice, Sudbury, Ontario on Monday, June 5th, 2023 at the age of 96 years

Wife of the late Michael Nykilchyk. Only daughter of the late Alexandre and the late Albertine (née Sabourin) Lefebvre. Loving mother of Suzanne (Jennifer) of Hanmer, Christine, Michael (Bonnie, predeceased) of Sudbury. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Rhéal (Nancy), Ernest (Fernande), Gabriel (Irene), Roger (Rita).  Cherished grandmother (Memere) of David (Dawn), Paula (Reni), Robert (Liana), Andrew (Celina), Wendy, Sharon (Alan), Colin (Jacqueline).  Doting great-grandmother (Meme) of Jarod, Chloe, Ryan, Reed, Luke, Rose, Drake, Lorne, Cheryl and Spencer.  Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Marg was a woman of great strength and courage.  Widowed at a very young age, she selflessly raised her three children, determined to give them every opportunity life had to offer.  She shared with them the joy of singing, the love of reading and her great passion for knitting.  No family member was left out of the sweater, afghan, mitten, hat assembly line. Her grandchildren adored her. They were the light of her world.  Her great grandchildren were the treasures of her golden years. Family meant everything to her.  This was truly evident in the unique relationship she had with each and every one of us. She touched the lives of so many.  Her light shined for all to see and in doing so she made this world a better place. Your light will forever shine in all of our hearts.

Family and friends will gather together at St. Andrew’s United Church, 111 Larch Street, Sudbury, Ontario on Tuesday, June 20th, 11:00 a.m. for a Celebration of Life. Reception to follow.
