PANCEL, Joseph Geza Antal Jr. ENG- CA - (1933-2012) It is with great sadness that we announce his passing on Tuesday, March 13th, 2012, peacefully with his loving family at his side at Health Sciences North. Son of the late Joseph Pancel Sr. of Hungary and the late Countess Ary Berenz Aranka, artist of Austria. Beloved husband of Phyllis Pancel. Loving father of Christopher (wife Lori) of Ottawa, Pam (husband Keith Hull) of Chelmsford, Paul (wife Janice) of Barrie, Peter (wife Paula) of Barrie and Richard of Sudbury. He was devoted to his family especially his 9 precious grandchildren and forever in the hearts of Nicholas, Nathan, Tyler, Kordell, Jennifer, Kaelyn, Madison, Joseph and Page. Joseph was born in Pecs, Hungary, graduated from Budapest University, 2nd Lieutenant when he relocated to Canada he also attended Queens University, Kingston. He retired from INCO as an Industrial Engineer Superintendant. An avid Master Chess player and community volunteer, he was a CKC Life Member and a Canadian Kennel Club Judge. Also a life member of the Sudbury Kennel Club and Vice-president of the Nickel District Kennel Club. He won best Afghan Breeder in Canada where his dogs were often seen in T.V. Commercials and other promotions. Resting at the JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME 233 Larch St., Sudbury (Friends may call 3- 5 p.m. Sunday or after 10:45 a.m. Monday) A Celebration of his life will take place in the R. J. Barnard Chapel Monday, March 19th, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Nico Vander Stoel presiding. Donations to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation - Run for the Cure would be appreciated.
