Judith (Judy) Paquin

April 3, 1964 - December 11, 2023

With deep sorrow, we announce the sudden passing of Judith "Judy" Anne Paquin on December 11, 2023. Born on April 3, 1964, Judy was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth and caring nature touched the lives of many. Known for her nurturing spirit, Judy was the heart of many family gatherings, always ensuring everyone felt cared for and welcome.

Judy was predeceased by her father, Jean-Guy Paquin. Judy's memory will be forever held in the hearts of her sons, Cody and Ryder Smith, their father, Murray Smith, stepchildren Vickie (Martin) Smith, Tyler (Shauna) Smith, and their families. She leaves behind her loving mother, Pauline Paquin Berthelot; brothers Michel (Lynn), Luc (Teresa), Jean-Claude (Melissa), and Marc-André (Taniya) Paquin; and was a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews. She will also be deeply missed by her many friends and extended family, including Annette Roach, Ron (Brenda) Smith, Laura (late Ted) Miller, Mae (Mike) Raymond, Rhoda (Ray) Goodall, and Marleen (late Ron) Lewis and many more as well as her colleagues and clients at Christian Horizons.

Judy's life was marked by her dedication to her community. A volunteer with various organizations, including the Royal Canadian Legion, Army Cadets, and The Well Ministries. She was also an active member of the Red Hat Society. She worked at Christian Horizons and March of Dimes and was a graduate of Culinary Arts at Sault College.

Judy’s family extends heartfelt thanks to the dedicated staff at the North Shore Health Network in Blind River and Health Sciences North in Sudbury for their compassionate care and support through these challenging times.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Judy's memory can be made to Diabetes Canada and the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada. Judy's life will be celebrated in a way that honors her spirit of giving and love for family and friends. Details of the celebration of life service will be shared at a later date.
